Delivering The Promise

Can Corporation of America is part of the F & P Holding Company, located in Blandon, PA. The key turning point was in 1975, when Fred Giorgi decided that the interest of the large Can Companies didn’t serve the long-term needs of the company. He decided to enter into the self-manufacturing of food cans and ends. With a vision to the future, he decided in the early 1980’s to invest in the Eastern European, at the time of high interest rates, with the procurement of Can Pack in Poland. Today there are major operations in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, the Middle East and Asia. The expansion has led to a company with a strong financial base and markets spanning beyond the food market.

It is Can Corporation of America’s Quality Policy to insure all aspects of a customer’s quality requirements are adhered to through employee involvement and given authority:

All Employees are responsible for quality. All Employees have the authority to shut a line down if there is a quality issue. Don’t wait for a customer to tell us of a quality issue– address the issues immediately. All quality checks and corrective actions are to be documented. The next operation is a customer for your department. Customers reward good quality with repeat orders. Be proud of our quality… not embarrassed by it.
